Description
Nos 81, 82, and 83 on The Causeway are a terrace of three cottages built in the early to mid 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from local gault brick and feature a slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and aligned with the street. Each cottage has a doorway to the right, with Nos 81 and 83 having five-panel doors, while No 82 has a 20th-century door with an upper glazed leadlight. To the left of each doorway, there is a 20th-century two-light casement window with leaded glazing, and a similar window is found in a widened opening on the first floor of each cottage. Above each window and doorway, there is an original segmental arched head. Additionally, there is a cast iron footscraper to the left of each doorway. The cottages are listed for their group value with Bridge House and 85 The Causeway.
