Description
The Wheatsheaf Public House is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of stone with a dressed stone front and a Welsh slate roof with gabled ends. A stone band runs along the first floor level. The building is two storeys high and originally had three windows. These openings now contain later sash windows without glazing bars, set beneath plain stone lintels. A reeded doorcase incorporates a plinth, a small pediment, a rectangular fanlight with ornamental glazing, and double half-glazed doors. To the left of the main building is a single-storey extension built of rubble and covered with a stone slate roof. This extension has three irregular modern casement windows with wooden lintels and a modern door.
