Description

The Crown Hotel, dating from the late 18th century, is located on the north side of High Street. It is a two-storey building with attics, finished in colourwashed roughcast. The roof is a modern tile gambrel style with gable end coping and features six box dormers. The hotel has eight sash windows, with no glazing bars on the ground floor. The entrance includes an open pedimented wooden doorcase and a carriage arch on the right side. Adjacent to the hotel, No 25 has two windows and features a 19th-century shop front on the ground floor.
