Description
The White Hart Public House is a 16th-century timber-framed hall house located on the south side of Market Place. It features two-storey, projecting gabled and jettied end wings, along with a one-storey and attic central section. The exterior is covered with colourwashed roughcast and imitation timber-framing. On the right side of the ground floor, there is a small early 19th-century canted bay window, while the first floor has a 2-light leaded casement window. The building displays pierced early 19th-century bargeboards. The central section includes two gabled dormers with 2-light casements and similar bargeboards, and the ground floor has a 3-light casement window and a door. The left side features a simple canted bay with fixed lights on the ground floor and a 19th-century sash window with glazing bars on the first floor, along with matching bargeboards. The roof is covered with old clay tiles.
