Description
This is a group of barns located approximately 75 metres northwest of Astwick Bury, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are substantial timber-framed structures that are weatherboarded and topped with corrugated iron roofs. The barns form an L-shaped group, which makes up part of the west and north sides of a courtyard. The structures are contiguous and consist of 5, 6, 4, and 5 bays. They feature a strutted clasped purlin roof construction. On the south side of the north range, there are three pairs of cart doors, with opposing outshots on the north side. In the center of the north range, there is a cart entrance leading to the courtyard from the road.
