Description
The garden walls immediately north of the stable courtyard at Chicksands Priory date from the 18th century. They enclose a rectangular garden that measures approximately 60 metres by 90 metres. The walls are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring diaper patterning with flared headers in certain areas. The coping is made of plain brick, which may have been replaced later. Some sections include 20th-century buttresses.
