Description
Nos 2 to 6 on the south side of High Street are 16th or 17th century buildings that stand two stories tall with attics. They feature an old clay tile roof and two modern box dormers. The buildings are arranged in an H-plan with a long central block. The ground floor is made of whitewashed brick, while the upper floor has a design that imitates timber framing and is roughcast over actual timber framing. There are seven double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, and the ground floor has various modern windows and doors. The north elevation is jettied and plastered, with the ground floor showcasing two canted bays, the left of which has a central door. The rear west elevation faces a churchyard and is weatherboarded on the center and right-hand gable. Inside No 2, there is a cased dragon beam in the front room on the ground floor.
