Description
1 and 3 Mill Lane is a house that has been divided into two properties. It dates back to the 17th century, with an 18th-century extension. The building features colourwashed roughcast over a timber-framed structure and has clay tile roofs. The original part of the house is two storeys high and follows a three-room plan. The 18th-century addition to the west is also two storeys but is slightly lower than the original structure. To the west of this addition, there is a 20th-century one-storey addition with attics. The house has a variety of windows, mostly casements, but there are two sash windows on the east gable end. The north elevation, which faces the front, includes a single-storey lean-to that serves as a porch for both properties. There are also 20th-century box dormers present. The original block features a red brick multiple ridge stack, while the west block has a red brick stack at the gable end of the 18th-century part.
