Description
Church Farm Cottage and Church Farmhouse are two houses that have been divided into separate properties. They were built in the late 18th century and have had alterations and additions in the 19th century. The buildings are made of red brick and have clay tile roofs, with the original block featuring a hipped roof. The main block is two stories high and follows a double-pile plan, with later two-story extensions to the north. The original block has a five-window range, with most windows being original flush sashes that include glazing bars. However, two of the ground floor windows on the right side are 19th century and have marginal lights. All windows have gauged brick flat heads. The central doorway features a door with four moulded panels, a rectangular fanlight, fluted pilasters, and a moulded cornice. There is a brick band at the first floor level and a moulded wood eaves cornice. Red brick stacks are integrated into both sides of the building. The northern block, which is Church Farm Cottage, was built in the 19th century and has a variety of windows. It was extended to the north in the 20th century with a lower two-story block.
