Description
28 High Street South is a timber-framed building dating from the 17th century or earlier, which was refronted in the 19th century and features a shop front from the 20th century.
The materials used include painted brick and render, topped with a plain tiled roof and Welsh slate. The building has a rectilinear shape on a long, narrow plot, with the roof ridge running from the north-east to the south-west, and a shop front located at either end of the street.
This terraced structure has two storeys and attics. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front, while the rear elevation showcases exposed timber framing. On the first floor, there is a 20th-century casement window set in reveals, and a dormer window is present in the attic.
