Description
Stonebridge Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with stucco on the front and west elevations, topped with clay tile roofs. The main block is two storeys high with attics, and there are two-storey blocks that project from the rear. The front facade features five windows, all of which are 20th-century replacement sashes without glazing bars, although the frames are almost flush with the wall and may be original. The attic includes two gabled dormers that have 2-light casements. The central doorway is part-glazed and panelled, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. This is set within an open pediment doorcase that has panelled reveals. The building is finished with a stone coped parapet adorned with ball finials and has integral stacks at both gable ends.
