2. Circa 1860-80 miller's house in local red brick with some vitrified headers. Two storeys, double pile plan with 2 additional rear wings, flipped slate roofs. Front elevation has central porch with hipped slate roof on 2 cast iron columns. Secondary door at west end with 6 panels and bracketed flat hood. Five casement windows with glazing bars under shallow cambered heads, of 2 or 3-lights. East front has bay window with hipped roof and sashes on rear section of main block. The west side of house abuts mill buildings which are over the Hertfordshire boundary.
