Description
The Hyde is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick, featuring a hipped old clay tile roof with a parapet that has five balustraded panels. The building is two storeys high and has five flush sash windows with glazing bars, each set beneath segmental arches. The front door is framed by a stone pedimented surround, which includes an attached Roman Doric entablature and an open pediment, with steps leading up to it. The garden front is similar, with a central stone door surround and an open pediment supported on volutes. On the south side elevation, there is a Venetian window.
