Description
Cainhoe Park Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It has a timber framed construction with colourwashed roughcast render, while later additions are made of colourwashed brick. The roofs are tiled. The original part of the house has a two-room plan and is two storeys high with attics. A later two-storeyed block at the rear creates an overall L-shape.
On the south elevation, there are two three-light windows on the ground floor and three two-light windows on the first floor, along with a central gabled dormer that features a two-light window. All the windows are horizontal sashes with glazing bars. The house has a central 19th-century brick porch and a substantial red brick multiple ridge stack with tall clustered diagonal shafts. The gable end stack of the later block is designed to imitate the original stack.
