Description
Hillside Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, constructed with a timber frame and covered in colourwashed roughcast render. It features a clay tile roof and has a T-plan layout, with the left-hand gable being two storeys high and jettied at the first floor, while the right-hand block is one storey with attics. The left gable has one two-light casement window on each floor. The right block includes a rectangular projecting bay on the ground floor and a box dormer in the attic, both fitted with three-light casements. All windows have been replaced in the 20th century. The main block has a 20th-century glazed door situated under a gabled open porch next to the projecting gable. To the left of the gable is a 20th-century addition that resembles the right-hand block. The house has integral red brick chimneys at both gable ends and a red brick ridge stack located at the junction between the gable and the left-hand addition.
