Description
The gates, flanking walls, and railings at London Road Lodge (New Lodge) date from the early 20th century. They feature wrought iron gates with a central double gateway that has an openwork arch topped with delicate iron scrolls and leaves. The gates are flanked by iron pillars that have masks and iron sconces holding glass simulated flames. On either side of the pedestrian gates, there are scrollwork details above, accompanied by dwarf stone walls with railings. The end stone pillars each have a central panel on their faces and are topped with ball finials.
