Description

These are a pair of early 19th-century buildings on New Road in Linslade. They are constructed of stucco with a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. The buildings are two storeys high and have four sash windows with glazing bars. Three full-height incised Doric pilasters are a prominent feature. Smaller Doric pilasters and cornice hoods shelter the doorways. The doorway on the right has a six-panelled door, with two flush panels, and a rectangular fanlight containing geometrical glazing bars. A 19th-century shop front is located on the left. Nos. 40 to 54 (even numbers) form a notable group.
