Description

Shoe Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with a plaque suggesting a construction date of 1666. It is timber-framed, with some parts rendered and weatherboarding to the gable ends. The roof is thatched. The house has a three-room plan and includes attics. The ground floor has three three-light casement windows with leaded lights; two of these windows have moulded frames. Three gabled dormers, all with two-light casement windows, light the attic space. The main entrance is on the west elevation. A brick double ridge stack is located between the two right-hand bays.
