Description
West End Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed house that is rendered with colourwashed roughcast. It has undergone minor alterations in the late 18th century or early 19th century and features an old clay tile roof. The building is designed in a T-plan, with a cross-wing on the left-hand side that has a large external chimney stack on the southwest elevation. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics. The cross-wing includes an attic sash window in the gable end, while the main wing has attic roof lights. Both the first and ground floors of the cross-wing have a 3-light sash window with glazing bars, and the main wing has similar windows on the right-hand side. On the left, there is a single-light casement window on each floor. A central 19th-century gabled porch with carved bargeboards adds to the character of the farmhouse.
