Description
Wright is an 18th-century house located on the south side of Turvey Bridge Street. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with the eaves rebuilt using common bricks. The roof features a combination of banded fishscale and plain old clay tiles and is designed in an L-plan, consisting of a long three-bay front block with a short rear wing. The house has gable end chimney stacks.
On the north elevation, the first floor includes three 2-light casement windows with a high-level transom, while the ground floor has two similar windows. The central doorway is set in deep panelled reveals and has a ribbed surround adorned with paterae. To the left of the doorway, there is a fixed window with glazing bars, consisting of six panes by four panes.
