Description

The Statue of Jonah's Wife is a notable sculpture located on Turvey Bridge Street. It was discovered without a head in an old barn behind Turvey Mill. Interestingly, a bearded male head was mistakenly paired with the female torso. The statue was erected in 1953 by Mr. V. C. Dashwood, who was the owner of Turvey Mill at that time. This statue is included in the listing for its group value with the nearby bridge.
