Description
East End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It features a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and an old clay tile roof. The building is designed in an H-plan and has two storeys, with the east cross-wing being lower and possibly constructed later. Each cross-wing has one three-light casement window on both floors, while the west cross-wing includes a jettied attic storey. The main block has a central front door that is framed by a moulded surround with an open pediment supported by brackets, and there is a two-light casement window above the door. Flanking the main entrance are three-light casement windows on both floors. The main block is topped with a substantial rebuilt multiple ridge stack on the west side and a single ridge stack on the east side, both made of red brick.
