Description

The gate piers and quadrant walls to The Lodge date from the mid-19th century and are contemporary with the lodge itself. They are constructed from plain square piers and walls made of coursed limestone rubble. The tops of the piers feature a dentil frieze and are capped with moulded stone. The walls form a semicircle that leads to another set of outer piers, with short stretches of outer wall that have curved tops. All the walls are finished with flat stone coping.
