Description
The Folly is a house with a date plaque indicating it was built in 1691, located on the south side of Pavenham High Street. It features coursed limestone rubble construction and originally had a thatched roof, which is now covered with concrete plain tiles. The building is two storeys high and has a gable end facing the road. The 17th-century part of the house has four casement windows on the first floor, including three from the 19th century and one leaded casement window towards the northern end. The ground floor has two 19th-century casements. All windows are designed with three lights. The 19th-century extension at the southern end has brick dentil eaves and includes two first floor casements with timber lintels, as well as a ground floor casement and doorway that feature cambered brick arches.
