Description
The Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge that was originally part of the now demolished Pavenham Bury. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a fishscale tile roof. The building has a gable end facing the road with a cross wing at the northern end and is a single storey in height. There are two ashlar chimney stacks with paired octagonal flues, each topped with moulded caps. The gable ends are adorned with carved bargeboards and drop finials. The windows include one and two-light honeycomb-pattern cast iron casements. The west elevation features a canted bay window and an open-sided timber porch that is integrated into the angle with the rear cross wing. This porch is supported by a stone plinth wall and timber fluted columns with arched brackets. There is also a 20th-century brick extension on the eastern side.
