Description
Crossland Fosse is a William and Mary Revival house, built in 1889. It is constructed of red brick and features a clay tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with projecting wings on either side that have brick quoins. The gables are curled and topped with pediments, and the left gable includes a central projecting chimney stack with paired rectangular flues.
At the center of the house is a two-storey porch with a curved gable and ball finials. The porch has a heavy rusticated door surround with a decorated keystone and a carved stone panel above the doorway. The windows are stone mullioned, with some featuring decorative moulded brick arches above.
The side and rear elevations have hipped dormer windows with tile-hung cheeks and roof finials. The south elevation includes a two-storey canted bay on the left and a modern semi-circular conservatory. There is a projecting bay at the southeast corner with a curled gable. The east garden elevation features the original conservatory with dentil eaves and a right-hand projecting gable wing.
