Description

These cottages, numbers 39 and 41 Church End, date from the late 17th or early 18th century and occupy a corner site. Number 39 fronts onto Church Lane and is built with colour-washed plaster over a timber frame, covered with thatch. It has a central brick stack and a three-room plan with attics. A central gabled dormer window contains a three-light casement. There are three ground floor casement windows facing Church Lane. Number 41 is set at a right angle to the road, also fronting Church Lane, and is similarly constructed with a two-room plan and one storey.
