Description

Grange Farmhouse is a late 17th-century house located in Podington Farndish. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and has a concrete plain tile roof. The gables feature stone coping with moulded kneelers. The house is arranged in an L-shape and has two storeys and attics. It has paired ashlar chimney stacks with a projecting moulded string course and cornice. The south-east elevation features three first-floor windows, each with three lights and leaded casements, incorporating stone mullions and cavetto drip moulds. The ground floor follows a similar configuration of openings, but the central window has been altered to accommodate a single-light window and a 20th-century door. Similar windows are present in the rear wing.
