Description
The Willows is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with part of the southeast elevation rendered and the northwest elevation colorwashed. It features a thatched roof and is two storeys tall, designed in a T-plan with a cross wing at the northeast end. The windows are asymmetrically placed and come in various styles and sizes across all elevations. The northwest elevation includes an early window with glazing bars on the first floor of the cross wing. The northeast and southeast elevations of the wing also showcase interesting first-floor windows with pointed Gothic arches, glazing bars on the casements, and leading to the apex of the arch. The entrance on the southeast elevation has a 20th-century gabled porch. There is a single-storey 19th-century extension at the southwest end, made of colorwashed brick with a slate roof.
