Description
A pair of houses dating from the 17th or early 18th century, with Sedrup Cottage apparently slightly earlier. The houses are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, and Sedrup Cottage is also colourwashed. Sedrup Cottage has a thatched roof, while Ousel Cottage has a clay tile roof. Both houses are one storey high with attics. The west-facing elevation, which faces the road, has one eyebrow dormer window in the thatch of Sedrup Cottage and a hipped dormer window in the tiles of Ousel Cottage. Sedrup Cottage has four ground-floor casement windows, the right-hand one being leaded. The east-facing elevation of Sedrup Cottage is obscured by a large, single-storey flat-roofed extension. The east-facing elevation of Ousel Cottage is pebbledashed and features three hipped dormer windows with leaded lights. A 20th-century lean-to porch and a single-storey extension to the south end have been added to Ousel Cottage.
