Description

Dunelm Cottage is a 17th-century house that was extended in the mid-19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with a clay tile roof. The east end of the house, comprising four bays, dates to the 17th century and retains stone gable end coping. The upper floor of this section has four casement windows with glazing bars and timber lintels. The mid-19th-century extension to the east has two bays, featuring three-light casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor of the extension has a three-light casement window with glazing bars on the left and a fixed window with glazing bars on the right, both set within red brick cambered arches and surrounds. A further one-storey addition extends to the west, incorporating a single four-light casement window. The building is included on the list for its group value.
