Description

Greenlands is an 18th-century house located on Birchfield Road in Great Barford. The building features a colour-washed, rough cast exterior and has an old clay tile roof. It is designed in an L-plan and consists of two storeys with a symmetrical facade. The central front door has six panels—two flush and four fielded—set within a moulded surround. This door is flanked by flush sash windows in moulded frames, which include 19th-century glazing bars. On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows. The house has red brick stacks, with one being external and the other integral, located at both gable ends. The northeast elevation includes a 19th-century rectangular bay window on the ground floor and two sash windows on the first floor.
