Description
This is an 18th-century house located on the north-west side of Riseley High Street. It was formerly known as the Swan Inn. The house is timber-framed and has a rough cast finish, with a 20th-century machine tile roof. The original layout comprised three rooms, extending over two storeys. The front elevation features two sash windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor; all windows have moulded frames, with the first-floor windows having glazing bars. A 20th-century central front door is set within a moulded frame and has a suspended flat hood above. The house has colour-washed red brick ridge stacks at both gable ends. A colour-washed brick one-storeyed addition exists at the rear, and a 20th-century lean-to garage is attached to the south-west gable end.
