Description
The Seager and Baker memorials, located about 50 metres west of the Church of St Leonard, consist of a pedestal and a chest tomb, commemorating individuals who died in 1815 and 1816. The memorials are made of ashlar stone.
The pedestal tomb, situated to the south, features a pedestal with a moulded cornice and an urn finial. It bears the inscription: "In the vault under this pedestal are deposited the remains of Mr Joseph Seager, late of Bewdley Solicitor, who died 19 December 1815, aged 65 years."
To the north is the chest tomb, which has simple pilastered corners and a moulded cornice on its flat top. The inscription on a large lunette reads: "Underneath this tomb are deposited the remains of Samuel Baker, Solicitor of Bewdley, who died August 14 1816, aged 56 years; also of George Baker of Bewdley, who died December 17 1850, aged 62 years; and of Elizabeth Ann, daughter of George and Elizabeth Baker, who died December 5 1831, aged 2."
