Description
Ismere House is a small country house dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof. The house stands three storeys high, with stone-coped verges and a painted stone cornice decorated with modillions. Brick pilasters are present at the corners, and the central section of the building is slightly advanced and topped with a pediment.
The façade includes three windows with 16-pane sash designs set within moulded eared architraves, with the central window featuring a moulded cornice and consoles supporting the sills. On the second floor, there are 12-pane sash windows also in eared architraves. The ground floor has a central entrance that is framed by a pedimented doorcase supported by engaged Doric columns and an entablature.
