Description
Lloyds Bank is an Italianate building dating from around 1857, located on Vicar Street. It is constructed of yellow brick and has a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The side elevation features a segmental Ionic portico supported by four columns and two piers, topped with a balustraded parapet. The Vicar Street elevation includes seven round-arched windows, each with rusticated keystones and cills, and balusters below at the first floor. There are also consoles at the ground floor. A carved band runs along the eaves, and there is a band with Greek key ornamentation between the storeys. The doorway is adorned with a cornice on carved consoles.
