Description

The Statue of Sir Rowland Hill, dating from around 1881, was created by Sir Thomas Brock. It features a circular granite plinth supporting a standing stone statue. The statue is inscribed with the words 'Born at Kidderminster 1795 buried in Westminster Abbey 1879' and 'To his creative mind and patient energy the world is indebted for the Penny Postage introduced 1840'.
