Description

The Banks memorial and railings, located about 60 metres north-west of the Church of St Leonard, is a pedestal tomb dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features wrought iron railings. The tomb has a moulded cornice and is topped with a classical urn. The railings include spear heads with urn finials on the standards. Although most of the inscriptions are difficult to read, the family name Banks is still discernible.
