Description

The packhorse bridge, located about 100 yards south of Shell Manor, dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed from lias limestone rubble with sandstone dressings. The bridge features two round arches and a low parapet topped with sandstone coping. It stands approximately five feet high and five feet wide between the parapets, which are slightly splayed at the ends.
