Description
The walls, gate piers, and gates at the north entrance to Ombersley Court were built around 1812 to 1814 by J. Webb. They are constructed from ashlar stone and wrought iron. The walls stand approximately 4 feet high and feature moulded copings, bordering the driveway to the north of Ombersley Court. The west wall is interrupted by a stable quadrangle, while the east wall has gate piers and gates marking the entrance to the driveway leading to the front of the Court. There are four square gate piers, each with a moulded plinth, cornice, and pyramidal capping. The gates are ornately designed and made of wrought iron, serving as the main entrance to Ombersley Court. The previous main entrance, also designed by Webb, was located on Worcester Road and included a large gateway and a lodge, now known as Sinton Lodge, which is currently a private house.
