Description

Nos 40 to 44 on High Street are a late 18th-century building made of engraved stucco. The structure has three storeys and features five sash windows, each with moulded keyblocks. Quoins are present at the sides, and there is a plain pilaster doorcase that includes a rectangular fanlight, an entablature, a cornice, and a six-panelled door. Modern shop fronts are inserted on either side. The building also has a moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. Nos 30 to 46 and No 50 form a group with this building.
