Description

Anchor House is a late 19th-century building located on the east side of High Street. It is constructed of stucco and features two storeys. The façade includes four large plate glass windows that are separated by cast iron moulded columns. The building is topped with a moulded parapet that displays a large anchor, along with an eaves cornice and a balustrade that is adorned with acroteria blocks and urn finials. The shop fronts have been modernized. Anchor House, along with Nos 30 to 46 (even) and No 50, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
