Description
Byrds Cottage is a barn that has been converted into a house, likely dating from the 17th century, with modifications made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of Cotswold stone, with some parts rebuilt in painted brick, and features a roof made of Cotswold stone tiles. The building is one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by a gabled dormer. On the ground floor, there are three 20th-century casement windows. The entrance is located to the left and has a flat lintel with a half-glazed door. To the right of the entrance, there is a blocked stone mullioned window. Additionally, set into the wall near the door is a head in relief, which may date back to the 14th century.
