Description
This house, located south of St Andrew's Church, dates from the late 17th to early 18th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of brick, topped with a tile roof that has gable ends. The front features two sash windows with flush frames and thick bars. There is a side door with six panels (two flush and four fielded) set within a moulded wood case, topped by a shallow moulded hood supported by brackets.
Inside, the front room has 19th-century pine panelling. The first floor of the rear wing juts out, supported by late 14th or early 15th-century moulded beams, which were likely salvaged and reset during the 19th-century restoration of the south aisle of the adjoining church. The walls of the rear wing are made of 19th-century brickwork.
