Description
The Knoll is a house built in the late 17th century and in 1713, constructed from blue lias stone with Cotswold stone dressings. It features a plain tile roof with end wall stacks and one dormer. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a plinth and a floor band. The west front's right side has three-light stone mullion windows and flush quoins. The centre and left side appear to be from 1713, marked by a datestone reading SS 1713 in the north gable end. The stone cross mullioned windows include a two-light window in the centre and a three-light window to the left. A door is located at the rear centre, set in a chamfered surround and accompanied by a 19th-century porch. The first floor has a two-light stone mullioned window, while the other windows are casements.
