Description

The Pound is a late 16th-century timber-frame and plaster building with painted brick on stone foundations, forming an L-shaped plan. A gabled wing is present on the left-hand side, featuring an upper storey overhang with exposed soffit timbers. The building has restored leaded three-light windows and a modern porch in the angle. The western end’s gable wall is constructed of stone with small, splayed windows, and there are three dormers. The Pound forms a group with The Old House, Perseus & Phoenix, and Little Findon.
