Description

Brookfield is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century. It features timber framing set on a rubble plinth and has a thatched roof. The building is framed in irregular square panels with short straight braces supporting the wall-plate. It has one storey with an attic, three casement windows on the ground floor, and two eyebrow dormers. The entrance door is located on the right side. There are early 20th-century extensions adjoining the right side of the house. The chimneys are positioned on both the left and right sides. The left-hand gable wall includes vertical struts on either side of the attic window, situated between the tie-beam and collar.
