Description
This building is a coach house, now converted into flats, located about 35 yards north of High Park. It dates from the mid-19th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-20th century. The structure is made of brick laid in Flemish bond and features a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with a dentilled eaves cornice and has a five-bay range. The bays are marked on the exterior by tall round-headed blind archways with imposts, creating a blind arcade on both the front and rear of the building.
On the south front elevation, the end arches are partly obscured by a late 19th-century wing to the left and a mid-20th-century wing to the right, which are not included in the listing. All windows have cambered heads and stone sills, with four first-floor 2-light casements and two ground-floor 4-pane sash windows flanking a round-headed open archway that leads into a small lobby. The interior has been significantly altered. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
