Description
This is a Jacobean farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, with an adjoining malt house at the rear. It dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain roof, with external brick stacks on the side elevations topped with tiled offsets. It stands two storeys high and has a three-course band between the storeys, along with a moulded eaves cornice. The facade consists of five bays, with all windows being cross-casements that have cambered heads. The central entrance features an around-headed archway leading into a small lobby, which contains a pair of 20th-century doors with square lights above. The interior has been significantly altered. At the rear right side, there is a three-bay wing, likely the malt house, which has first-floor windows with cambered heads that are blind and feature diaper ventilation patterns.
