Description

This headstone, located approximately 3 metres south of the south transept of the Church of St Eadburgha, dates from around 1700. It is made of limestone and features deeply-cut carving that still shows traces of red paint. The design includes an open segmental pediment with a winged head, and within a moulded border, there is an inscription that is now illegible.
